First coach to serve on the United States Olympic Women’s Basketball Committee

Coached the U.S. Women’s Basketball team to a Pan-American Games Gold Medal (1975)

Coached in the first women’s collegiate basketball game to appear on national TV (1/26/75)

5 Eastern AIAW Championships as coach of the Might Macs

Led the Might Macs to 5 consecutive AIAW Basketball Championship Games (1972-76)

Coached the Mighty Macs to 3 consecutive AIAW National Championships (1972-74)

Recipient of the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) Pioneer Award (1994)

Inducted into the Big 5 Hall of Fame (1995)

Inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame

Inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame (2000)
