Played field hockey, basketball, and lacrosse for the University of Penn in the early 1920’s

Captain of the University of Penn women’s basketball team (1921-22)

Earned All-America honors in lacrosse

2 time Delaware State Tennis Singles titles representing Merion Cricket Club (1919, 1933)

Pennsylvania Eastern Tennis Singles title (1921)

Member of the U.S. National Women’s Field Hockey team as a center half (1924-38)

Served as president of the United States Field Hockey Association (1928-32)

Founded Merestead Sports Camps to educate girls about athletic opportunities

Inducted into the University of Penn Athletes Hall of Fame (2001)

Inducted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame (1964)

Inducted into the U.S. Field Hockey Hall of Fame as part of the inaugural class (1988)
