Joined the Eagles radio broadcast team with play by play man Andy Musser and color analyst Charley Gauer (1965)

Has also hosted a weekend sports talk show on 610 WIP

4 time recipient of the Red Smith Trophy for coverage of the Kentucky Derby

Received the Nat Fleischer Memorial Award from the Boxing Writer’s Association of America for excellence in boxing journalism (1991)

3 times named Pennsylvania Sports Writer of the Year (1967, 1985, 1987)

Recipient of the National Headliner Award for a series he wrote on Negro League Baseball

Inducted into the Philadelphia Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2002)
